Around The Net (ATN) Hockey is looking to hire a passionate, energetic, outgoing, flexible, responsible, and reliable Hockey Coach for our Stouffville Training Facility. Our facility offers a whole new level of training in Stouffville to develop skating/shooting mechanics and increase speed, strength, and conditioning. Our services include classes (Hockey Skating Treadmill & Hockey Shot Classes) and skate sharpening. Our Hockey Treadmill Training provides expert instruction while skating to improve stride and technique. Our Hockey Shot Training provides expert shooting instruction to teach proper technique with power and precision.
We pride ourselves on building relationships on and off the ice, while leaving lasting impressions with our clients. At ATN Hockey, we specialize in small group skill training while providing individualized attention with focus on repetition and proper correction.
Our Hockey Coach position is ideal for adults which includes post-secondary students, post-graduates, or professionals in the field. Previous hockey instruction experience is required, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays is required. Room for growth in the company.

All Roles - Minimum Requirements:

- Hockey Coaching: Minimum 1 year required

- National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) is preferred.

- Standard First Aid and CPR Certification required.

- A Vulnerable Sector Check is required upon hire.

- Passion for the game of hockey.

- Passion for and experience working with children and youth.

- Playing experience in hockey is preferred.

- Experience training athletes of a variety of sport backgrounds is preferred.
All Roles - Key Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to):

- Ability to plan and facilitate Hockey Treadmill & Hockey Shot classes (expert knowledge of skating and shooting techniques)

- Ability to work with hockey players of all ages and levels including beginner, intermediate, and advanced.

- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

- Excellent verbal/written communication skills, customer service skills and sensitivity to interact with a diversity of clients, parents and staff in a courteous and efficient manner.

- Experience communicating professionally with clients, staff members, and other community members daily.

- Excellent computer skills and ability to use software to complete client transactions, appointment bookings, and program registrations

- All staff must be able to work the front desk when needed.
Work Location: Stouffville Facility (Unit 18 – 82 Sandiford Drive, Stouffville, Ontario)
Shift Availability:

- Weekday Evenings (Monday to Friday) 4-8pm

- Weekends (Saturday/Sunday) 9am-1pm
