We are Around The Net (ATN) Hockey, a mobile hockey school servicing the GTA and with a training facility in Stouffville. In Stouffville, we run a high performance hockey training facility committed to helping players elevate their game. Our facility offers a whole new level of training in Stouffville to develop skating/shooting mechanics and increase speed, strength, and conditioning. Our services include classes (Hockey Skating Treadmill & Hockey Shot Classes) and skate sharpening. Our Hockey Treadmill Training provides expert instruction while skating to improve stride and technique. Our Hockey Shot Training provides expert shooting instruction to teach proper technique with power and precision.

Position 1: Hockey Coach

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Hockey Coach to join our Stouffville Facility team. The ideal candidate is outgoing, flexible, responsible, and reliable — with strong knowledge of both skating and shooting mechanics. This position involves coaching small group sessions with players of all ages and skill levels. There is also opportunity for on-ice coaching in addition to the Stouffville Facility.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead Hockey Treadmill and Hockey Shot classes
  • Provide detailed feedback and corrections to improve skating and shooting technique
  • Work with players ranging from beginner to advanced levels
  • Ensure player safety and follow all safety procedures
  • Deliver excellent customer service to clients and parents
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with staff and families
  • Operate front desk when needed (bookings, payments, registrations)

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of hockey coaching experience
  • Standard First Aid and CPR certification
  • Vulnerable Sector Check (required upon hire)
  • Passion for hockey and for working with youth
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NCCP Certification
  • Previous playing experience in hockey
  • Experience training athletes from various sports backgrounds
  • Proficient computer skills (scheduling software, client management)

 

Position 2: Front Desk Staff

We are also hiring for a Front Desk Staff member to join our team at our Stouffville Facility. This role is ideal for individuals with strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist clients upon arrival
  • Manage class registrations, schedule changes, and payments
  • Respond to emails, phone calls, and in-person inquiries
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of facility
  • Support coaches and management with administrative tasks
  • Skate Sharpening

Requirements:

  • Minor hockey background
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Comfortable with computers and booking systems
  • Experience in a customer-facing role is preferred
  • Evening and weekend availability is required

 

Availability Requirements Include But Not Limited To:

  • Weekday Evenings: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Weekends: Saturday & Sunday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
